The cost of psychological support for students and apprentices compared
Psychological online counseling at Studifit costs €25 for the first and €39 for each further session, and appointments are usually available within a few days. If you book the second session within 14 days, it costs €29. The first two sessions therefore cost €54 in total. Counseling at the Studierendenwerk (your university's student services organization) is free, often with a wait of a few weeks. Apprentices have no Studierendenwerk. Therapy covered by health insurance is free, but on average it only starts after 142 days.

Counseling is not psychotherapy and not covered by health insurance. Therapy covered by insurance and private therapy treat clinically significant conditions; counseling supports you with everyday strain, without a diagnosis. If you have a mental illness, please keep looking for a therapist at the same time.

A package is a price, not a contract: valid for 3 years, cancellable at any time, and we refund the share for sessions you have not used. It stays valid even when your studies or vocational training end. The 7-day money-back guarantee also applies to each individual session from a package. The session then returns to your balance.
What counts as a comparable offer?
One-on-one psychological online counseling by video, around 50 minutes, by a counselor with a bachelor's degree in psychology (B.Sc., no higher qualification), with a 7-day money-back guarantee on every session and regular professional supervision by licensed psychotherapists, open to students and apprentices in Germany. Only offers that meet all of these criteria are comparable. We compare the price students and apprentices pay there with our price for students and apprentices: single-session price with single-session price, package price with package price for the same number of sessions.
