Several FAU faculties also have counseling of their own from the Studierendenwerk, only for their students. The Faculty of Engineering, for example, counsels on Erwin-Rommel-Straße and offers appointments through an online form. For psychotherapy covered by health insurance there is the university clinic at the Chair of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy.

For apprentices in Erlangen
Apprentices have no Studierendenwerk. For problems at work, with your training or at vocational school, the training advisors (Ausbildungsberatung) at your chamber can help: the IHK (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) or the Handwerkskammer (Chamber of Skilled Crafts). They are neutral and hear both sides. Training advice is a legal duty of the chambers (Section 76 of the Vocational Training Act). If you are struggling emotionally, your family doctor is a good first point of contact. The 116 117 service arranges appointments for an initial psychotherapy consultation.
